"The three of us write and choose tunes that excite us rhythmically and tonally. In many ways we're taking you on a global musical journey taking in the highlands of Bolivia and Columbia, the islands of Jamaica and St Marten and many African nations that inform our feels and melodies". Joining Atkinson on this jazz journey are two of the country's finest musicians, Finn Scholes on brass, percussion and electric piano and Alistair Deverick, an extremely well travelled drummer who has done his time with Neil Finn and Lawrence Arabia while always being the back-bone of the surreal Scholes outfit, Carnivorous Plant Society.

'THE OLD OAK' (M) Director Ken Loach. 2023 UK 113mins
The future for the last remaining pub, The Old Oak, in a village of Northeast England, where people are leaving the land as the mines are closed. Houses are cheap and available, thus making it an ideal location for Syrian refugees. At the age of 87, Loach can still turn in a solid, necessary, engaging and honest piece of work, stuffed with dialogue that rings true, dilemmas that hit home and characters you could meet – with a few changes of wardrobe and language – in any working-class community in the world.
Ken Loach clains this will be his last film, if it is then he is surely going out with all flags hoisted and all his angels singing in tune.
Storyline
THE OLD OAK is a special place. Not only is it the last pub standing, but it's also the only remaining public space where people can meet in a once thriving mining community that has now fallen on hard times after 30 years of decline. TJ Ballantyne (Dave Turner) the landlord hangs on to The Old Oak by his fingertips, and his predicament is endangered even more when the pub becomes contested territory after the arrival of Syrian refugees who are placed in the village without any notice. In an unlikely friendship TJ meets a curious young Syrian Yara [Ebla Mari] with her camera. Can they find a way for the two communities to understand each other? So unfolds a deeply moving drama about their fragilities and hopes.
